Lloyd `Paro` Clarke possessed one of the greatest voices ever to record in Jamaica. He started his singing career in 1960 when he did the song called `Parapinto Boogie` for producer Duke Reid. The success of this recording resulting in him becoming highly sought after by several producers, the likes of Beverleys, Prince Buster, Sir Coxsone, Lloyd Bell, Bunny Lee, Ciifford Simeon Smith and King Edwards.His career lasted until the mid 1970s and during the time he recorded such big hits as, `Face Man`, `Girls Rush`, `Japanese Girl`, `60 Years`, `Fellow Jamaican`, `Summertime`, `The Cheat` and `Now I Know The Reason`. A product of the famous Opportunity Hour talent contest hosted by the late Vere Johns, Lloyd also wrote most of his material. In this production he speaks of his early success and the challenges later on in life. This is a must for all who are into the great Jamaican music and culture.
