Summary: Great live performance.
Comment: Linkin Park - Live in Texas is a solid and thrilling live concert of one of my favorite bands. The audio cd is good but the the DVD concert is worth the purchase alone. Chester Bennington's vocals are spot-on and jeez I don't know how he can sing, scream, and belt for two hours straight! He's an amazing frontman, and Mike Shioda never skips a beat with his rapping styles, I was really impressed. The band have a lot of staying-power as well. Every song this band plays sounds good and refreshing. I highly recommend this incredible concert!

Summary: Refreshing
Comment: Some people are mentioning, in a negative tone, that the music they play live in this dvd is too close to the album. I for one found it very refreshing to see a band that is able to play their music (especially vocals) the same way they did in their recordings. All too many artists these days seem to get lazy with their vocals on stage and end up providing music that shows that. Improvisation is great, but when other bands improvise to a poor quality, I'm not for that. Thank you Linkin Park.

Summary: this is a concert? what concert!
Comment: First off, I've been listening to Linkin Park for a couple of years now and I really like their musical style. If you're new to Linkin Park you'll notice they sound different here than on their newest release.
The set list on this DVD is fantastic but the video footage is horrible. The wild camera angles are zooming everywhere which makes any attempt at getting a good look at the band impossible. I want to grab the camera and force it to hold still for more than 1 or 2 seconds. Truthfully, it makes you get a headache just watching it, even with the sound completely off. Also, the sound is disappointing. No matter what I adjust I can't seem to get it right. It feels very distant and not like you are there.
I think a lot of people go to live shows or buy live concert video not only for entertainment but to also learn more about the band, see the cool equipment and maybe see how they play a certain part. There are some good shots of Rob on the drums which gives a powerful feel but it could have been soo much better. They are much better than this DVD shows. Hopefully they will do another one soon.

Comment: I am SO glad I bought this concert. I have always loved linkin park and laways wabted to go to a concert, and this DVD was like being there. This was definitely worth my money and I reccomend to any Linkin Park fan that you buy this DVD as soon as you get the chance.
